San Francisco, CAPosted Apr 2025 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went through five rounds and met five different engineers.

A big part of the vibe was that it felt relaxed, and the engineers actually gave me a take-home assignment. The take-home wasn’t framed as mandatory—it felt optional in a way that let me observe how they worked and how contributions were reviewed.

I ended up making contributions pretty quickly, and I got a strong impression they liked that I jumped in rather than waiting for perfect clarity. They even indicated they favored me over candidates with very high academic backgrounds because of the visible contributions I made through the take-home work.

I received an offer. What stayed with me
