Adobe Software Engineer interview experience

Posted Jul 2026 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

Adobe sent me a 4–6 hour Coderbyte take-home, and the recruiter explicitly mentioned that an AI assistant was allowed, but that its use would be observed.

That was the part that stood out the most because it changed how I approached the work—less of a “no external help” vibe and more of a supervised experiment.

The take-home itself took the whole block of time, so it felt like a real test rather than a quick screen. I didn’t get an offer afterward, but the experience did leave me with a clear impression that Adobe was piloting AI-assisted assessments around that timeframe.
