Detroit, MIPosted Feb 2022 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I didn’t really have a traditional interview.

A friend of mine was a manager at a customer site, and their company had a hiring freeze, so they couldn’t directly hire me. Instead, the work moved forward by contracting through Actalent.

So rather than interviews and rounds, it was more like the hiring path changed because of the freeze. That meant there wasn’t a typical interview experience to judge or compare.

I didn’t receive an offer through the usual process, but I was still able to work via contracting. What stood out most was how quickly the plan shifted based on the customer’s constraints.
