I expected a case-style interview, but the process ended up being purely finance focused.

It was for a CFO & EV–type risk and compliance track, and since it was a campus placement from a tier-1 school, I assumed the format would be more structured around business scenarios.

Instead, I went into a straight finance conversation with no cases at all. It was still clearly targeted, just different from what I had been expecting.

I ended up not getting an offer. The thing I’ll remember is the mismatch between my expectations and what the interview actually was, which made it harder to feel like I was playing the right game.
