My interview was mostly HR questions mixed with questions tied to my project.

I knew the answers well, but during the conversation I couldn’t convey them as clearly or confidently as I would have liked, largely because I got nervous.

The structure made it feel more about communication under pressure than just whether I understood the material. Even when I had the technical points, the delivery slipped, and that seemed to matter.

I didn’t get an offer, and the biggest reflection I had afterward was that the same knowledge can land very differently depending on confidence in the moment. It wasn’t a case of not knowing—it was a case of not sounding like I knew.
