I moved through screening, assessment, and an interview successfully, then ran into a late mismatch notification that ended the process.

Recruiter screening / invitation to assessment — I was screened for a backend developer position and invited to complete an assessment.
Post-assessment interview — I attended the interview; it went well.
Salary discussion + documents — HR contacted me to discuss salary, requested required documents, and then scheduled another round.
Final status email — By evening I received an email stating my skills didn’t match the position. Outcome: No offer; despite good momentum, the role alignment check shut the process down abruptly.
