I applied for a Software Engineer role through a referral and got an immediate call back from HR the very next day, which made the process feel like it was moving quickly.

For a bit, it seemed like I was on track, but after about 10 days I reached out again and learned the position was on hold.

That delay changed the tone of everything—once the role was no longer active, there wasn’t a real next step to prepare for or progress through. I never got to a full interview journey after that point, and I didn’t end up with an offer; the frustrating part was how quickly things stalled even after the initial momentum.
