ABB Software Engineer interview experience

Albuquerque, NMPosted Apr 2025 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My experience was the opposite of what I expected.

The interview process felt monotonous, and I got the sense they lacked enthusiasm throughout. What really stood out was that they pushed to lowball the salary they offered, which immediately made the process feel misaligned with what I was aiming for.

Also, the work sounded like it would be more controls tech than a controls engineer role, and that mismatch made the whole thing feel like a bad fit. I didn’t get an offer, and I decided I wouldn’t apply to jobs at that location again.
