ABB Software Engineer interview experience

Most of the questions were tied closely to what I’d listed on my resume, especially industrial automation, communication protocols, and even electrical engineering. The interviewer kept the difficulty in the middle-to-harder range, so it wasn’t just regurgitating definitions.

Even though it was technical, the pace stayed manageable and it felt like they were probing for how I thought through the topics I’d already worked with. I didn’t receive an offer, but the session was a real technical check rather than a vague conversation.
