6sense Software Engineer interview experience

I interviewed for a Senior Software Engineer role at 6sense in Bengaluru, and the process ended very quickly after the first technical round.

The entire opening round centered on a weighted random picking style problem—essentially choosing items based on their weights.

I wasn’t able to land on the approach the interviewer expected. I remember feeling like I was missing the key idea, and I couldn’t confidently propose the binary-search-style direction that would connect the weights to the selection. After that first round, I didn’t move forward.

The rejection felt decisive, and honestly it was a bit frustrating because the bar seemed to be set on having a very specific solution path early.
