Write C Palindrome Loop

EasyPython

Problem

Infineon AURIX TC4x diagnostic tools may inspect short trace labels during embedded debugging. Write a function that determines whether a label is a palindrome using a while loop.

A string is a palindrome when it reads identically from left to right and right to left. Treat characters as case-sensitive, and do not remove spaces, punctuation, or other characters.

Formal Specification

Implement is_palindrome(text), which receives a non-empty string text and returns a Boolean:

  • Return True if text is a palindrome.
  • Return False otherwise.

Use two indices, one starting at the beginning and one at the end. Compare the characters while the indices have not crossed. The implementation must use a while loop for the comparison process.

Constraints

  • 1 <= len(text) <= 10^5
  • text contains printable ASCII characters
  • Comparisons are case-sensitive
  • Spaces and punctuation are significant
  • Do not directly reverse the string with a library operation

Function Signature
