Weekly Inventory Turns SQL

MediumSQL · PostgreSQL

Problem

Write a SQL query to analyze weekly inventory turns by product category and identify the categories with the largest week-over-week decline for Fashion Nova.

Use the provided product, weekly inventory, and weekly sales data. Treat missing weekly sales as zero and return the three largest percentage declines.

Output

  1. One row per category-week decline, limited to the three largest percentage declines.
  2. Columns: category, week_start, prior_week_turns, current_week_turns, decline_turns, and decline_pct.
  3. Sort by decline_pct descending, then category ascending and week_start descending for ties.
