Understanding Singleton Pattern

MediumPython

Problem

What is a singleton?

Implement a lazy singleton object that creates at most one instance during a function call. The first configuration must be preserved, later configurations must not reinitialize the object, and every request must return the same instance.

Input and Output

The function receives a non-empty list of configuration dictionaries. Return a dictionary containing whether all requests returned the same object and the configuration retained by the singleton.

Constraints

  • 1 <= len(configs) <= 100
  • Each configuration is a JSON-compatible dictionary
  • The first configuration must be retained
  • All requests occur within one function call

Function Signature
