How would you compute the transpose of a matrix?

Implement transpose_matrix(matrix). Given a non-empty rectangular matrix, return a new matrix in which the element at row i, column j becomes the element at row j, column i.

The input is a list of equally sized lists, and the output must not modify the input matrix.

Signature: def transpose_matrix(matrix):

Input: matrix, a non-empty rectangular list of lists of integers.

Output: A new list of lists containing the transposed matrix.

Constraints

  • 1 <= number of rows <= 100
