Translating Technical Ideas

MediumSQL · PostgreSQL

Problem

Name a time you had to translate a technical idea to a non-technical audience.

For the SQL portion, demonstrate that translation by producing a concise summary of technical events that a non-technical reader could understand. Include catalog entries with no recorded events and recorded events without a catalog entry.

Output

  1. One row per event type, including unmatched catalog or event records
  2. Columns: event_label, event_count, affected_users, audience_summary
  3. Sort by event_count descending, then event_label ascending
