Top Servers Per Region

MediumSQL · PostgreSQL

Problem

Write a SQL query using window functions to find the top three highest traffic-generating servers per region at Akamai.

Use the provided region, server, and traffic tables. Calculate each server's total traffic across its traffic records, exclude servers with no positive traffic, and assign a deterministic rank for ties.

Output

  1. One row per qualifying server, with region_name, server_id, server_name, total_traffic_bytes, and traffic_rank.
  2. Include only the top three servers in each region.
  3. Order by region_name, then traffic_rank, then server_id.
