Top Genres for New Users

MediumSQL · PostgreSQL

Problem

Write a SQL query to identify the top three most-watched genres for users who signed up in the last 30 days at Tubi.

Use the provided user, watch history, and content data. Treat total watch minutes as the measure of most-watched, exclude records without a genre, and use alphabetical order to break ties.

Output

  1. One row per genre, with columns genre and total_watch_minutes.
  2. Include only the top three genres, ordered by total watch minutes descending, then genre ascending.
