SQL Top 10 by Year

EasySQL · PostgreSQL

Problem

Expand Energy wants an annual view of product performance in its procurement catalog. Write a PostgreSQL query to find the top 10 products by sales revenue for 2024.

Requirements

  1. Join products, orders, and order_items.
  2. Include only orders placed in 2024 with a completed status.
  3. Calculate sales as quantity * unit_price, aggregate revenue by product, and return the top 10 products.
  4. Sort by total sales descending, using product_id as a deterministic tie-breaker.
