Your question is Telehealth Queuing System. Take a moment with it on the right.

Talk me through your thinking if you like. When you're confident, submit your answer and I'll grade it like a real screen (7/10 or better passes).

You need to log in / sign up to chat or submit.

Problem

Oscar members across US states have free 24/7 telehealth access and request virtual care via web and mobile app. Design a web based queuing application for Oscar's physicians to manage all the consultation requests. Physicians can only see patients from the states they are licensed in.

Asked in the system design onsite stage. The interviewer gave little feedback.

Address the request lifecycle, licensed-state authorization, queue assignment and prioritization, online versus batch components, data model, APIs, reliability, and an ML ranking approach if appropriate. Clarify unknown traffic and latency requirements rather than assuming Oscar-specific numbers.
