Swap Numbers Without Temp

EasyPython

Problem

An Ameriprise service workflow receives two integer values that must be exchanged before further processing. Implement a function that swaps the values without declaring or using a third variable.

Formal Specification

Implement swap_numbers(a, b). The inputs a and b are integers. Return a list containing the swapped values in the order [b, a]. Do not use another variable to hold a value during the swap. The function must work with positive numbers, zero, and negative numbers.

Constraints

  • a and b are integers.
  • -10^9 <= a, b <= 10^9.
  • Do not use a third variable or a container to perform the swap.
  • Return the values in the order [original b, original a].

Function Signature
