Sum Left Leaves minus Sum Right Leaves | Dataford Interview Questions

Given a binary tree, find Sum(left leafs) - Sum(right leafs) for the tree.

Asked in the Technical interview stage.

Represent each node as a JSON object with value, left, and right fields, or use null for an empty subtree. Return the sum of all leaves in the root's left subtree minus the sum of all leaves in the root's right subtree. The root itself is not counted as either a left or right leaf, even when it is the only node.

Function: def sum_left_leaves_minus_right_leaves(root):

Output: Return an integer.

Constraints

0 <= number of nodes <= 10^5
Each node has an integer value
Each node is represented as {"value": integer, "left": object or null, "right": object or null}
The root itself is never included in either leaf sum
