Problem

Write a program to reverse a string without using any built-in reverse functions.

Implement def reverse_string(s):, where s is a string and the function returns a new string containing the characters of s in reverse order. Do not use reversed(), slicing with a negative step, or any library reverse operation.

Constraints

  • 0 <= len(s) <= 1000
  • s may contain letters, digits, whitespace, and punctuation
  • Do not use reversed(), negative-step slicing, or library reverse operations
