How would you print each character only once from a string without using any collections?

Implement unique_characters(s) to return a string containing the first occurrence of each character in order. Treat uppercase and lowercase characters as distinct, and preserve spaces and punctuation.

Constraints

0 <= len(s) <= 10^4
Characters may include letters, digits, spaces, punctuation, and Unicode characters
Character comparisons are case-sensitive
The output preserves the first-occurrence order
