Your question is SQL vs NoSQL Decision. Take a moment with it on the right.

Talk me through your thinking if you like. When you're confident, submit your answer and I'll grade it like a real screen (7/10 or better passes).

You need to log in / sign up to chat or submit.

Problem

When would you opt for SQL versus NoSQL databases?

Asked in the Round 1 (EM) stage. Explain how you would make this choice in an ML system, including data shape, access patterns, consistency, scalability, latency, and operational constraints. Address whether the answer changes across offline training data, feature storage, metadata, and online inference paths.

  1. Compare SQL and NoSQL using concrete decision criteria.
  2. Explain where each fits in an ML architecture.
  3. Discuss hybrid designs and migration boundaries.
  4. Identify failure modes, monitoring needs, and operational tradeoffs.

Do not assume a particular product, workload, scale, or cloud provider. Start by stating the questions you would ask before choosing.
