SQL vs NoSQL Choice

MediumSQL · PostgreSQL

Problem

When would you choose SQL over NoSQL, and when would you choose NoSQL over SQL?

Using the supplied workload records and requirement signals, classify every workload. Choose SQL when it requires strong consistency, transactions, or relational joins. Choose NoSQL when it requires both horizontal scale and flexible schema. Classify all remaining workloads as Depends.

Output

  1. One row per workload, including workloads without requirement signals
  2. Columns: workload_name, recommendation
  3. Order by recommendation in the sequence SQL, NoSQL, Depends, then by workload name
