MediumSQL · PostgreSQL

Problem

How much experience do you have writing SQL scripts on the job?

To demonstrate, write a PostgreSQL query using customers and orders that summarizes qualifying orders placed during 2025. Include customers with no qualifying orders.

Output

  1. One row per customer with customer_name, completed_order_count, total_completed_amount, and order_category.
  2. Include only orders with status COMPLETED and a 2025 order date.
  3. Sort by total_completed_amount descending, then customer_id ascending.
