Implement a Spreadsheet (Coding)

HardPython

Problem

Implement a spreadsheet (coding).

Asked in the virtual onsite stage. Write a function that processes spreadsheet operations and returns the values produced by each get_cell query.

Function contract

operations is a list of operations. Each operation is one of:

  • ['set_cell', cell, value], set cell to an integer value
  • ['set_formula', cell, refs], set cell to the sum of the referenced cells in refs
  • ['get_cell', cell], return the current value of cell

A formula cell should update automatically when any referenced cell changes. Cells not yet assigned have value 0. Return a list of integers for all get_cell operations, in order.

Constraints

  • 1 <= len(operations) <= 10^4
  • Cell names are uppercase letters followed by digits
  • -2^31 <= value <= 2^31 - 1
  • A formula contains at least 1 reference
  • References may repeat within the same formula
