Your question is SOTA and Numerical Comparisons. Take a moment with it on the right.

Talk me through your thinking if you like. When you're confident, submit your answer and I'll grade it like a real screen (7/10 or better passes).

You need to log in / sign up to chat or submit.

Problem

For a research project, explain how you establish SOTA results and run numerical comparisons against other methods.

Describe a practical evaluation protocol rather than naming a single algorithm. Cover dataset versioning, literature and implementation selection, preprocessing, train and test splits, cross-validation, hyperparameter budgets, random seeds, compute controls, metrics, confidence intervals, significance testing, ablations, and failure analysis. Explain how you would avoid leakage, ensure fair comparisons, reproduce published baselines, and determine whether an observed improvement is meaningful. Include production-quality Python that runs comparable experiments and reports results reproducibly.
