Problem

UST Global's employee directory needs a salary review report. Write a PostgreSQL query to find employees with the second-highest distinct salary among active employees and display their department when available.

Requirements

  2. Rank distinct salary amounts from highest to lowest, then select rank 2.
  3. Return every employee tied at the second-highest salary, including employees without a matching department.
  4. Sort the output by salary descending and employee ID ascending.
