SQL for Sales Ops Analytics

HardSQL · PostgreSQL

Problem

Write a SQL query to analyze regional sales operations performance by joining pipeline, account, and activity tables, then summarize key metrics by month and region. Use 2025 records and treat completed activities as operational activity. Include regions and months represented only by activities, and avoid double-counting pipeline opportunities when an account has multiple activities.

Output

  1. One row per month and region, ordered by month ascending and region ascending.
  2. Return month, region, pipeline_count, pipeline_value, won_value, win_rate_pct, completed_activity_count, and pipeline_value_mom_change.
  3. win_rate_pct is won opportunities divided by all opportunities, or NULL when no opportunities exist. The month-over-month change is NULL for each region's first month.
