Your question is Ride-Hailing System APIs. Take a moment with it on the right.

Talk me through your thinking if you like. When you're confident, submit your answer and I'll grade it like a real screen (7/10 or better passes).

You need to log in / sign up to chat or submit.

Problem

Design APIs for an online cab, bike and cycle booking system (similar to Ola + Yulu), including backend database logic, front-end response and the behaviour of the whole system.

Asked in the Round 2 stage. Explain the API contracts, booking state transitions, persistence model, concurrency handling, and how the frontend observes booking progress. Discuss where ML could support vehicle availability, ETA, or option ranking without compromising booking correctness.

Address:

  1. Core APIs and request/response examples
  2. Database schema, indexes, and transaction boundaries
  3. Search, reservation, payment, cancellation, and notification behavior
  4. Concurrency, idempotency, retries, and failure recovery
  5. Online versus batch ML components, evaluation, and monitoring
