Problem

Reverse a string and check whether a string is a palindrome.

Asked in the Technical Interview, coding stage. Implement a function that returns the reversed string and a boolean indicating whether the original string is a palindrome. Treat the string as case-sensitive and include spaces and punctuation unless stated otherwise.

Function

def reverse_and_check_palindrome(s):

Input

  • s: a string

Output

  • Return a tuple (reversed_string, is_palindrome).

Constraints

  • 0 <= len(s) <= 10^5
  • s contains printable ASCII characters only
  • The comparison is case-sensitive
  • Spaces and punctuation are treated as normal characters
