Return True on Duplicate Items | Dataford Interview Questions

Coding: return true if item appears more than once in a list.

Implement contains_duplicate(items) to return True when any item occurs at least twice, and False otherwise. Assume every item is hashable and preserve the input list.

Function: def contains_duplicate(items):

Input: A list of hashable values. Output: A boolean.

Constraints

0 <= len(items) <= 10^4
Each item is hashable
The input list must not be modified
