REST and SOAP Implementation Details

HardPython

Problem

Explain how you would implement REST endpoints using annotations and media types, and how you would implement SOAP using WSDL and XSD.

Implement a validator for simplified REST and SOAP service definitions. Return True only when REST annotations, HTTP methods, routes, media types, SOAP operations, and XSD type references are valid.

Function signature: validate_service_contract(rest_endpoints, soap_operations, xsd_types) REST endpoints and SOAP operations are lists of dictionaries, and xsd_types is a set-like list of type names.

Constraints

  • 0 <= len(rest_endpoints) <= 1000
  • 0 <= len(soap_operations) <= 1000
  • Each REST endpoint contains method, route, annotations, consumes, and produces
  • Each SOAP operation contains operation, input, and output
  • HTTP methods are limited to GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, and DELETE
  • A media type must contain exactly one slash and no whitespace
  • REST method-route pairs and SOAP operation names must be unique

Function Signature
