Repeated Character Matching

EasyPython

Problem

Write a script that takes a given string, matches all sequentially repeated characters, and returns them in an array.

Implement def repeated_character_runs(s):, accepting a string and returning an array of maximal consecutive character runs whose length is at least two. Preserve the original order and return each run as a string, including all of its repeated characters. Return an empty array when no repeated run exists.

Constraints

  • 0 <= len(s) <= 100000
  • The input contains ordinary Python string characters.
  • Return maximal consecutive runs, not individual duplicate characters.
  • Runs must appear in their original left-to-right order.
