SQL Repeat Maintenance Hotspots

MediumSQL · PostgreSQL

Problem

How would you use SQL to identify the top 10 buildings with the highest repeat maintenance requests over the last 90 days?

Use the provided buildings and maintenance requests data. Treat a building as having repeat requests when it has more than one maintenance request during the period.

Output

  1. One row per qualifying building, with building_id, building_name, and repeat_request_count.
  2. Include only buildings with at least two requests in the last 90 days.
  3. Order by request count descending, then building name ascending for ties, and return at most 10 rows.
