You are the Engineering Manager for a customer-facing feature that is already in development and now appears likely to miss its launch date. The work spans backend APIs, a BlockFi web surface, and compliance review, and the product team has already announced the target date to internal stakeholders. Midway through the project, one dependency slipped, two engineers were pulled onto an urgent production issue, and the remaining work is no longer tracking to plan. Leadership still wants a credible path to ship, but they are open to changing scope if you can make the trade-offs clear.
