Your question is Real-Time Vehicle Tracking System. Take a moment with it on the right.

Talk me through your thinking if you like. When you're confident, submit your answer and I'll grade it like a real screen (7/10 or better passes).

You need to log in / sign up to chat or submit.

Problem

Design a service to track the real-time location of thousands of delivery vehicles for DoorDash.

Address location ingestion from driver devices, storage and retrieval of the latest position, map matching, stale or inaccurate GPS data, and APIs for DoorDash consumers, Dashers, and operations. Explain how you would size the system, choose online versus batch components, apply ML where useful, evaluate accuracy and latency, and handle failures.
