Problem

Explain the trade-offs between different database architectures in the context of a real-time analytics dashboard for QuantumBlack clients.

Discuss how you would compare relational databases, columnar analytical warehouses, data lakes or lakehouses, NoSQL stores, and streaming-oriented architectures. Address query latency, ingestion and update patterns, consistency, scalability, operational complexity, cost, security, and client-specific isolation. Explain how you would validate the choice and handle failures, schema evolution, and changing workloads.
