Rate-Limiting IPs from Logs | Dataford Interview Questions

Given a log file with timestamps and IPs, rate-limit IPs making more than x requests in a 10-minute window.

You are given a list of log entries, where each entry is (timestamp, ip). Timestamps are integers in seconds and the list is not guaranteed to be sorted. Return the IPs that should be rate-limited, in ascending order, after processing all entries.

Input

logs: list of [timestamp, ip] pairs
x: integer threshold

Output

A list of IP strings that make more than x requests in any 600-second window.

Constraints

1 <= len(logs) <= 10^5
0 <= timestamp <= 10^9
1 <= x <= 10^5
Each log entry is a pair [timestamp, ip]
The input logs may be unsorted
A 10-minute window means 600 seconds
