Rate Limiter for API

MediumPython

Problem

Build a simple rate limiter for a Plaid API endpoint.

Implement rate_limiter(events, limit, window). Each event is [client_id, timestamp], events arrive in nondecreasing timestamp order, and each client may have at most limit accepted requests during the previous window time units. A request exactly window units old is outside the window. Return a Boolean list indicating whether each request is accepted.

Constraints

  • 1 <= events.length <= 1000
  • 1 <= limit
  • 0 <= window
  • Each event has the form [client_id, timestamp].
  • client_id is a non-empty string.
  • timestamps are integers in nondecreasing order.
  • The input contains at least one event.
