Randomized Array Function

MediumPython

Problem

How would you write a function that takes an array of numbers and returns a randomized array?

Implement randomize_array(nums, seed) using the Fisher-Yates shuffle. Return a new array containing the same values in randomized order, leave nums unchanged, and use seed to make the result reproducible for testing.

Input: nums is a list of integers and seed is an integer. Output: a new list that is a permutation of nums.

Constraints

  • 0 <= len(nums) <= 10^4
  • nums contains integers
  • seed is an integer
  • The returned list must contain exactly the same values as nums
  • The input list must remain unchanged
