Python Complex List Operations

MediumPython

Problem

Tell me about solving a Python question involving complex list operations, list comprehensions, and key-value dictionary mappings.

Implement build_value_map(records). Each record is a dictionary with a string key and a list of integers called values. Return a dictionary mapping each key to the sorted unique squares of its positive even values, combining values from records with the same key. Include keys whose records contain no qualifying values, mapped to an empty list.

Constraints

  • 0 <= len(records) <= 10^4
  • Each record contains exactly one string key and one list of integer values
  • The total number of values across all records is at most 10^4
  • Keys may repeat
  • Integer values are between -10^9 and 10^9
