Python Coding Interview

MediumPython

Problem

Tell me about your experience with Python coding interviews and how you approach solving general data lifecycle problems.

Implement process_lifecycle_events(events) to remove repeated lifecycle events while preserving the first occurrence of each event_id and the original input order. Each event is a dictionary with string event_id, string entity_id, string state, and integer timestamp; return a list of event dictionaries.

Constraints

  • 0 <= len(events) <= 1000
  • Every event is a dictionary containing event_id, entity_id, state, and timestamp
  • event_id, entity_id, and state are strings
  • timestamp is an integer
  • The input list is not modified

Function Signature

def process_lifecycle_events(events):
