Production-Grade Chat Server | Dataford Interview Questions

Build a chat server handling multiple TCP clients.

Implement handle_chat_events(events), which processes ordered client events. Each event is a dictionary describing a connection, message, or disconnection. Return delivery records for every message sent to another currently connected client. Broadcast recipients must be returned in lexicographic order. Messages from disconnected or unknown clients are ignored.

Input and Output

events is a list of event dictionaries. Return a list of dictionaries with to, from, and text fields.

Constraints

At most 5,000 events
Client names and message text are non-empty strings
Event types are connect, message, or disconnect
A message is delivered only to connected clients other than its sender
