Priority Queue for Submissions

MediumPython

Problem

Write a function to simulate a queue of code submissions and process them based on priority.

Implement process_submissions(submissions). Each submission is a dictionary with id and integer priority; higher priority values must be processed first. If priorities are equal, process submissions in their original queue order. Return a list of submission IDs in processing order.

Constraints

  • 0 <= submissions.length <= 5,000
  • Each submission contains a unique string id and an integer priority
  • -10^9 <= priority <= 10^9
  • Higher priority values are processed first
  • Equal-priority submissions retain their original order

Function Signature

def process_submissions(submissions):
