Pivot Open Issues by Store

EasySQL · PostgreSQL

Problem

Instacart operations wants a quick store-level summary of currently open shopper support issues. Write a SQL query to pivot issue counts by store.

Requirements

  1. Return one row per store_name for records where issue_status = 'open'.
  2. Include the total number of open issues as total_open_issues.
  3. Include separate counts for these issue types only:
    • late_pick as late_pick_issues
    • out_of_stock as out_of_stock_issues
    • substitution_needed as substitution_needed_issues
  4. Order the result by total_open_issues descending, then store_name ascending.
