Palindrome Check Without String Methods

EasyPython

Problem

How would you write a function that checks if a string is a palindrome, without using prototypal methods or built-in String/Array methods? Implement is_palindrome(s) to return a boolean based on exact character order, with case and whitespace treated as significant. Do not use reversal, slicing, or string and array methods; the input is a string and the output is True or False.

Constraints

  • 0 <= len(s) <= 10^5
  • s contains characters that can be accessed by index
  • Comparisons are case-sensitive
  • Whitespace and punctuation are treated as ordinary characters
  • Do not use string or array methods, reversal, or slicing
