How do you determine if a word is a palindrome?

Implement is_palindrome(word) to return True when the input reads the same forward and backward, and False otherwise. Treat characters as case-sensitive and compare every character exactly as provided. The input is a string and the output is a Boolean.

Constraints

0 <= len(word) <= 10^5
word contains only Unicode characters
Character comparisons are case-sensitive
Do not ignore or remove whitespace or punctuation
