Palindrome After Cleaning

EasyPython

Problem

Implement an algorithm to detect if a given string is a palindrome after removing non-alphanumeric characters.

Define a palindrome check as case-insensitive. Return True if the remaining characters read identically forward and backward, or False otherwise. Implement is_palindrome(s), where s is a string and the return value is a boolean.

Constraints

  • 0 <= len(s) <= 2 * 10^5
  • s may contain letters, digits, whitespace, punctuation, and Unicode characters
  • Alphabetic comparisons are case-insensitive
  • An empty filtered string is a palindrome

Function Signature
